Sofina Autumn Skin Care Workshop

This summer I had spent a lot more time under the hot sun more than any other years.
My children love outdoor outings.
Parks, beach, Disneyland, theme parks, the list comes on ……

Being a busy working mum, I did a very poor job in protecting my skin

against the unfriendly sun rays.

Over-sun exposure has caused my skin to appear red, sensitive, dehydrated

and of cos….. chocolate tanned……..  I seriously want to cry.

The recent change of autumn weather only makes things worse.

Thanks to she.com X Sofina, I was invited to Sofina Autumn Skin Care Workshop, 

"秋日美肌護理工作".

 

For me, cleansing is the most important step in my beauty routine.

I'm very picky with my cleansing products. 

The workshop began with the demonstration of Sofina Makeup Cleansing Oil,

“保濕精華卸妝油”.

 

I find most cleansing oil product would leave behind makeup residues on my skin 

and my skin would still feels oily and uncomfortable. In this demonstration, 

after water rise away Sofina Makeup Cleansing oil, the model's skin felt nourished, clean and oil-free.      

 2nd Demonstration:

Comparison to another unknown brand cleansing oil.

Add in small amount of water, and few gentle shakes.

Sofina Makeup Cleansing oil (bottom) was able to dissolve most of the foundation.

3rd Demonstration: 

 Sofina Enriched Foam Cleanser “咕o臣潔面泡泡”.

As compared to another unknown brand,

Sofina Enriched Foam had thick, firm elasticity foams.

The foams were able to uphold 1 single coin.  

The buttery thick foam aims to reduce movement to skin surface,

while letting the foam work into the pores to remove dirt.

let test the condition of my skin. Yeah.... all within range ^o^. 



Sofina toner is more than a toner.

What do u pack in your travel beauty bag?

It's back to work for me this week.

After spending two weeks working from home,

I was able to spend alots time with my M & M babies,

however, my full-time mum role was due to end.

 

 

My job requires me to travel regularly.

I'm always out and about traveling here and there.

Whenever I go, I like to travel light.

Would it be a short trip into China or a long travel thru Europe,

I ensure I bring only reliable and convenient skincare & makeup products.

 

I want to & need to look my best at all times.

I take great care in ensuring my skin is clean and care properly each night.

There are times when I would feel too tired after a long day,

and I would want to jump straight to bed. 

Quick and simple is very important for lazy me.....

 

So what works for me?

I have very sensitive dry combination skin.

I have tried numerous make-up remover & cleansing oil from different brands.

Most of the time, the product didn't do a good job at removing my makeup,

or make my skin appear red after use,

or it clogs up my pores and cause out-breaks / pimples.

All the above problem went away when I started to use shu uemura.

 

When I pack my travel beauty kit,

the first item I would pack is shu uemura cleansing oil.

Recently I was invited to Bio-Essence x Shemom.com 

"Elegant Mother Skin Care" gathering event held at Ava Restaurant Slash Bar.

Being a really hot day, it was great to escape from the heat.

First measurement of one side of the face was taken before products were used.
Measurement was taken from the center of nose to the ear.  

 

 

Step1: Zero Dead Skin
Product used: Deep Exfoliating Gel

Use: Apply gel onto dry skin with dry fingers and rub gently in circular motion for a while
until small flakes of dead skin and dirt appear.
Then rinse off with water and follow up with a cleanser.

Demonstrator apply Deep Exfoliating Gel to blogger's face.
Dead skin removal is a vital step to ensure the skincare products we apply
afterwards penetrate thru to the inner layer of the skin.
Bio-essence exfoliating is gentle enough for daily use.
I tried the exfoliating gel on my hand.
I was amazed at how much dirt came out when I rub it.
Skin felt much softer and much fairer.

 Step 2: Essence

Product used: Radiant Youth Essence with Royal Jelly  ATP

Use: Massage serum gently in circular movements onto face.
It can also be applied on hands and legs to achieve fairness and radiance.
 

Demonstrator apply serum to blogger's face in circular strokes .
I tried the essence on my hands. Texture of serum was very light and runny.
Liquid was quickly absorbed and skin feels instantly moisturized.
Wrinkles on fingers seem to be less obvious.

 

Step 3: Firm & Lift
Product used: Bio-Essence Face Lifting Cream with Royal Jelly + ATP

Use: Apply the cream to face and gently massage in circular motions.
Wait for 10 mins to take note of result.

Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream helps to promote skin blood circulation,
accelerate metabolism, lymphatic flow and tighten loose skin.
In 10 mins, firm facial contours and shapes V face can be notice and measure
reduction of 0.3-1.5cm is possible.

《媽媽咪咪嘉年華 Baby & Mother Carnival 2013》Part 2

 From my previous post, I had recommend families to visit the “Baby & Mother Carnival”

 at the Asia World-Expo during the Mother’s Day weekend.

M & M babies and Mami spent Saturday exploring and visiting the different boots 

at the “Baby & Mother Carnival”. Big M even bought along a little gf with him ^o^.

Before the children enter the carnival,

Big M stopped for an ice-cream snack. Yum Yum ^o^.......

Rather you are expecting a newborn or have little ones,

 visiting baby expo event is a great way to find useful advice & information on pregnancy and parenting.

For the first time in H.K, daddy have the chance to experience 

the physical changes that mummy feels during pregnancy.
